    The Flyer cat is a good choice for those who want a lightweight craft for a total of two or three people. We like to use them with relatively narrow frames that make the whole boat only about 5 1/2 ft wide (28 inches between the tubes). This results in a boat that is narrow for slipping down smaller rivers, and less beam allows the boat to surf waves that the bigger boats would straddle. These are excellent beginner boats. They are very responsive. If you choose a narrow frame the whole boat and frame can easily be placed on the roof racks of your car by two people.
